Giving your marriage the TLC it needs!

LIMITED SEATING: 15 couples only!

Marriage is like a garden . . .

it must be watered and cultivated to grow! If left unattended, your marriage could experience a slow death.

We want to help you CARE for your marriage! You see, prevention of problems is much better than trying to cure problems. And that is what the Retreat is all about: helping couples to build and enjoy a strong relationship – and avoid the frustration and despair of a troubled relationship.

Participants: who should attend a Retreat

This Retreat is for you if:

  • You love each other but it has been too long since you enjoyed a spirit of warmth and closeness -OR . . .

  • Your marriage is getting the leftovers from the busyness of life  – and you know you need to find ways to re-prioritize your relationship - OR . . .

  • You’re feeling connected and your marriage is “good,” but you want to make sure it stays good and find ways to make it even better - OR . . .

  • You need a reprieve from your daily life – to take a break and reconnect your hearts to one another - OR . . .

  • You have attended any The HEART of Marriage presentations (whether it be a retreat, conference, or Intensive) in the past - this is a great follow-up event, like a sequel!.

If ANY of this describes your relationship, then this Retreat is designed just for you!

Please NOTE: the Retreat is NOT for couples where:

  • one or both spouses are actively abusive – meaning any kind of physical or sexual abuse that is currently happening in the marriage.

  • one or both spouses have an active addiction – “addiction” refers to any kind of behavior (use of drugs, alcohol, porn, sex, etc.) that is destructive to the person and the marriage and persistent, despite negative consequences – “active” means the compulsive behavior is currently happening and the perpetrating spouse is not in treatment or not making any effort to end that behavior.

  • one or both spouses are actively engaged in an affair relationship – meaning they have not severed their relationship with their affair partner and are unwilling or undecided to do so.

If any of these things apply to your marriage, then your marriage needs a higher level of care than this Retreat provides, preferably with a trained therapist/specialist who can provide one-on-one counseling.

Experiences: what makes this Retreat so effective and unique

Les & Rhonda share from their nearly 40 years of personal experiences in growing their own marriage and their professional experiences in helping others enjoy closeness and intimacy in their marriage. They offer biblically-based principles and research-based best practices for developing a meaningful, life-long relationship. The foundation to all of their presentations is their personal conviction that God designed marriage to be a sacred, lifelong covenant between a man and a woman.

While their presentations are mostly didactic (workshop-style), they also blend in humor, multi-media, storytelling, and informal Q&A chats. During the Retreat, couples engage in on-site activities and dialogues in the privacy of their own hotel room, following live demonstrations and/or thorough explanations. Every couple leaves the Retreat with a CARE Plan: a customized action plan for sustaining their renewed connection. Retreats provide the opportunity to give your marriage the undivided attention it needs, away from all of life’s distractions and demands.
